Natasha Khan, who releases music as Bat for Lashes, started doodling in a Moleskine notebook in 2020 when she was pregnant with her first child. The drawings have now been collected in an oracle deck: a reimagining of tarot comprising female archetypes and woodland creatures. “Since I was a little girl I loved mystical, mysterious things, and was really interested in tarot,” says Khan, “so over the years I’ve become quite accustomed to giving readings.” The cards are accompanied by a booklet that helps users interpret the deck. “It took some detective work to find out what the healing property of each card might be. I hope people find comfort from the deck – it’s my way of giving everyone a psychic hug.”
