The race to the moon has been keeping Desis on their toes as India’s Chandrayaan-3 goes head-to-head against Russia’s Luna-25. Well, even though most would believe that citizens of both countries would have their fists up, people on the internet are showing a rather supportive front.
Both countries are rooting for each other to reach the finish line. While Russia’s Luna 25 started its journey from Earth on August 10, India’s Chandrayaan-3 got a head start on the route by taking off on July 14.

However, even though Russia’s spacecraft started late, it took a shorter distance to the Moon’s South Pole and is scheduled to land by August 21. Chandrayann-3 entered the moon’s orbit on August 5 and is expected to stick its landing on August 23.
Given the close landing schedules of the two spacecraft, natives of both countries are eager to know which country becomes the first in history to land on the Moon’s South Pole. To get some answers, I picked up my trusty Tarot deck and shuffled away.
Chances Of Russia Landing First

From the looks of Russia’s spread, I can tell that Luna 25 will stay on its scheduled course. The Fool and the Temperance cards indicate that the spacecraft has the chance of clearing all obstacles and shining hope on Russia’s lunar mission, much like the Sun card that popped out in the spread afterward.
However, the problem arises with the Four of Pentacles and the Eight of Swords. These cards suggest that while the craft will stay on schedule, it has a big chance of facing a hard landing on the surface of the moon.

As for India’s Chandrayaan-3, the Ten of Wands and the Nine of Swords indicate that the spacecraft can come face-to-face with a few problems before landing on the surface of the moon. This could likely steer its landing schedule back by a few hours or even a few days.
However, the Six of Wands and the Hermit card in the spread point towards a peaceful resolution of its obstacles. All-in-all, it suggests that after hitting a few speedbumps, Chandrayaan-3 has a great chance of making a soft landing on the moon.
