A 59-YEAR-OLD woman has won half a million dollars from a scratch ticket after having a hopeful Tarot card reading.

The woman, from Michigan, said she was told during a recent Tarot card reading that money would come into her life soon.

“I have always told the people in my life that I was going to win the lottery one day,” explained the woman who wished to remain anonymous, according to NBC affiliate KPLCTV.

“Once a week I purchase a few instant games and I usually always buy them from the same store. The day I won, I was on my way to a Tarot reading, so I stopped at a different store, purchased some tickets and put them in my purse.”

She told the outlet that she was predicting how the money would come into her life, but the lottery tickets in her purse never crossed her mind.

“Later that night, I scratched the tickets. I saw the star symbol and thought, “Well at least I won my money back” assuming it would be a $10 win. Much to my surprise, I revealed a prize of $500,000,” she recalled.

“I tried to remain calm, but I knew right then and there this had just changed my life!”

The excited new winner plans to pay off her car, take a cruise with a friend, and invest the rest of the winnings.

HOW TO PLAY

The newest winner won on Michigan Lottery’s 50x Wild Time game.

50x Wild Time scratch-off tickets cost $10 and winnings range from $10 to $500,000, according to the Michigan Lottery website.

Players have to scratch off the five winning numbers and hope that one of them matches the 20 other numbers hidden under a “W.”

If one of your numbers matches the Win All Bonus, you win all 23 prizes shown on the ticket.

There are also $50, $100, and $500 bonus boxes to scratch off.

When a player finds a “W” under a bonus box, they win the prize.

If you find a star symbol, you win the corresponding prize automatically.

If you find a 50x symbol, you win 50 times that prize.

ANOTHER WIN

A man from South Carolina won $300,000 on a Max Money ticket after switching up his tactics.

He initially purchased a ticket at a gas station in Sumter, around 40 miles east of Columbia, according to a news release from the South Carolina Education Lottery.

His first ticket was unlucky, but instead of leaving the store, the player switched his strategy and bought a ticket from a different lottery.

The second ticket won him one of the top prizes; the odds of his win were one in 936,000.

“It surprised me. I paid off my house,” he said.

The gas station where he bought his ticket received $3,000 for selling the winning ticket.
